Bogotá, November 15, 2022. This Wednesday the 16th and Thursday the 17th, the "Comprehensive and Integrated Networks and Health Systems" International Congress will be held, organized by the Ministry of Health and Social Protection and the Pan American Health Organization.
The central areas of this event are the Comprehensive and Integrated Service Networks and Primary Health Care as strategic factors moving forward to universal health coverage and universal access to health.
The agenda focuses on the fundamental components of governance, financing, comprehensive and integrated networks, talent in the workforce, and it includes a very important segment that will examine intersectorality and the relationship between health systems and development. (view the agenda here)
The international event has convened a panel of experts in various components of health systems. Speakers from Canada, the United States, Spain, Costa Rica, Panama, Brazil, Bolivia, Argentina and Uruguay have confirmed. With their expertise, this group will present the fundamental elements of a global discussion that has become more relevant after the COVID-19 pandemic.
One of the considerations in the design of the agenda refers to the discussions by societies about the changes required to guarantee the fundamental right to health. This international congress seeks to give Colombia standing in this relevant and timely conversation, nationally and continentally.
The program includes conferences on models and experiences in other countries, enriched with the interventions of Colombian experts who will analyze the subject for the national context in each panel. This group of analysts is comprised of the deputy ministers and the people responsible for steering the offices of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection.
The theme of this international congress brings together all the components of the Colombian health system, so, in order to promote a broad dialogue, the meeting has arranged a combination of face-to-face and virtual participation. Considering that it is a high technical-scientific level event and due to capacity limitations, prior registration is required.
