Bogotá DC, March 26, 2021. The Ministry of Health and Social Protection and ADRES, in support of the Ministry of Defense, are arranging the payment of the temporary economic recognition of the health workforce of the Health System of the Military Forces and National Police, which provides services in the care of patients with suspected or diagnosed Covid-19.
"To date, ADRES has transferred a total of $ 7 billion, as a one-time bonus, to 4,834 health professionals according to instructions by Military Health, Police Health and Military Hospital, who have been working in a spirit of cooperation, effort and commitment to combat the pandemic," said María Andrea Godoy, deputy minister of Social Protection.
The official pointed out that "the selected profiles for the FOME resources bonus are nursing and administrative assistants, anesthesiologists, intensivists, general practitioners, bacteriologists, personnel in compulsory social service, nutritionists, therapists, among others defined in Resolution 1774, 2020."
The top five professions that have received the most benefits in the Health System of the Military Forces and the National Police are nursing assistants, doctors providing compulsory social service, professional nurses, physiotherapists and bacteriologists.
More than an economic recognition, with this bonus, we wish to reiterate the gratitude of every Colombian to the health workforce for their humane and self-sacrificing work in favor of life.
The foregoing complies with Legislative Decree 538, 2020 and Resolution 185, 2021, establishing the provisions to grant this incentive to the workforce of the Health System of the Military Forces and the National Police, the General Directorate of Military Health, the Health Directorate of the National Police and Hospital Militar Central, which reported information on their health workforce to ADRES.
The ADRES transfers the bonus directly to the benefitting health workers' bank accounts. In the case of the Military Hospital, this institution received the disbursement of resources and, in turn, was in charge of transferring them to the personnel.
